LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A southern Indiana business owner is accused of skipping out on some taxes.

Frankie Garrett, 51, was arrested Monday, and charged with corrupt business influence, theft and failure to remit sales tax, all felony charges.

Garrett is the owner of Garrett's General Grocery on South 4th Street in Utica, Indiana.

Indiana State Police and the Indiana Department of Revenue said Garrett failed to report more than $40,000 in taxable sales from 2019 to 2023.

ISP started its investigation in Dec. 2021 after receiving information of possible illegal activity by Garrett.
