LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Some Jefferson County Public Schools students with special needs have new library to call their own.
For the first time, students at Churchill Park School will have a library. A ribbon-cutting celebration was held Thursday afternoon.
Students at the school with physical and learning disabilities now have access to adaptive books, toys and other materials.
"It's different from every other library in Jefferson County," librarian Kelly Caso said. "It's taking a lot of planning for ideas that we previously hadn't thought about. How can we service these kids? How can they use this library? And it's been phenomenal."
School officials said they're excited about the new space, and can't wait to get students in there learning.
