LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An EF-0 tornado packing 80 mph winds touched down in southern Indiana on Tuesday afternoon as severe weather moved through the area.Â
"Most terrifying five minutes I have ever spent,"Â Sue Stisser said.
She has lived in Silver Lakes Pointe Mobile Home Park for the past two years. While she's seen her fair share of storms, she said this one "took the cake."
She was alone in her kitchen when the wind picked up. With it came snapped utility poles, trees, and scattered debris.
"I look out my side window and things are just flying through the air," Stisser said.
John Gordon with the National Weather Service said the tornado was spawned from a line of "straight line" storms, following a pattern similar to the April 2 tornado that damaged parts of Jeffersonville near Interstate 265 and SR 62.Â
"We had more fuel, more wind sheer," Gordon said. "This one, we didn't have as much. We're very lucky it was just sporadic damage to Clarksville and Jeffersonville."
No one was hurt in Tuesday's tornado, but a large tree was in its path. The storm ripped it out of the ground and onto two mobile homes, leaving roof damage.Â
"I looked outside and I saw that tree right bending like a fishing pole," Dawson Mann said. "I was scared for my family."
Clarksville town councilman Bob Stotts said at least one family has been displaced from the storms. The Red Cross Red Cross helping them find a place to stay for a few nights.
"When it was all said and done, my legs were just shaking," Stisser said.
Wednesday afternoon the Duke Energy outage map showed fewer than 200 people in the area are without power. Power is expected to be restored by Wednesday night, according to Duke's website.Â
"IÂ don't even have a [utility] pole, so I'm out for a while," Stisser said. "Until they get out here and fix it."
