LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Ford employees had a chance to show their families what it takes to make the trucks that are seen on the road every day.
Family Day was held at the Ford Truck Plant in Louisville on Sunday. Nearly 5,000 employees and their families enjoyed the day with vendors, bouncy houses, food charities and pet adoption agencies.
The open house was one of several across the country. Families got to take a tour of the plant, race remote control cars and sign the hoods of some of the vehicles.
"Just to have a few moments with the family, being able to share what you do for a living, letting your children see what you do day in and day out to build these wonderful products is pretty amazing," said Joe Closurdo, a Ford Truck Plant manger.
Children could also play in a foam pit. Storm troopers from Star Wars also visited the event.
