LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The former Baxter Station property in Louisville's Irish Hill neighborhood is now slated to become an Italian restaurant called "Ciao."
Fred Pizzonia and Jesse Francis bought the building in a foreclosure auction last year. It's located at Payne and Cooper Streets. Now the pair is seeking a zoning change to formally recognize the building's long-time use as a restaurant.
The application says the investors plan to make some renovations, including adding new windows.
Baxter Station was a neighborhood fixture for 20 years until it closed in 2013.
There is no word yet on when Ciao might open.
