LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Hodgenville police chief submitted his letter of resignation this week.

At a special-called Hodgenville City Council meeting Thursday, May 28, Mayor Jim Phelps confirmed he had received James Richardson’s resignation.

Richardson’s resignation takes effect at midnight June 8.

An interim chief will be named at the June 8 City Council meeting before a search begins to fill the position.
