LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Josh Young is facing new felony charges.Â
The teen made national headlines in Aug. 2013 after he was acquitted of murdering his stepbrother, Trey Zwicker, earlier in the year. He was sent back to jail in December, after a judge ordered him to serve 120 days behind bars as part of an assault case for retaliating against a witness in that same murder trial.
At that time, the judge ruled Young violated his probation because of other recent arrests. The judge decided Young would remain in jail and serve both sentences at the same time.
But on Thursday night, Young was again facing brand new felony charges.
According to a criminal citation, Metro Corrections officers were patting Young down for contraband Thursday night, when they allegedly noticed an unknown object in his groin area.Â
Authorities say that after a search, they found a small baggie of synthetic cannabis and 15 dip pouches in Young's underwear.
Young is now charged with possession of synthetic cannabis, promoting contraband and tampering with physical evidence.
