LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Kentucky boy died after a freak accident while playing basketball.
The Fayette County coroner said Eli Hill, 8, was playing outside his home in Corbin on Monday night. He got a chair or a stool to stand on to dunk the ball, but the backboard of the goal came off a pole and fell on the child.
Hill was taken to UK Medical Center's Pediatric Emergency Room, where he died.
