LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear has signed a bill that expands the state's seat belt law.

It now includes vans designed to carry up to 15 people -- five more than the previous requirement.

That bill comes after a 2010 crash on Interstate 65 near Munfordville that killed 11 people.  Most of the victims were not wearing seat belts.

Officials hope this new law will prevent a tragedy like that from happening again.
