Kosair for Kids shares gifts with hundreds of children at annual holiday party

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Hundreds of children felt the warmth of the holiday season thanks to an event at Kosair for Kids on Sunday.

The annual holiday party handed out gifts to children in need at the Mellwood Art Center. The 350 children who attended the event went home with a bear and other presents.

Big Brothers Big Sisters, Camp Quality, Spina Bifida Association and many other organizations participated in the event.

"These are kids who have benefitted through the Kosair for Kids financial assistance program with medical care, health care bills, medical equipment or with one of our partner agencies," said Chris Williams, Kosair for Kids senior VP of Communications.

Kentucky native and master magician Lance Burton performed some magic at the event.
