Road construction.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Interstate 65 in southern Indiana is scheduled to be reduced to one lane this weekend for construction work.

Indiana Department of Transportation will reduce I-65 northbound and southbound to one lane on May 18 for overnight paving and patching operations in Scott and Clark counties.

The road work will take place between Scottsburg at Exit 29 and Memphis at Exit 16. The work is expected to be completed by late August.

Crews are expected to work between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. each night.

The project is part of a $2.9 million contract awarded to E&B Paving. INDOT encourages drivers to slow down, use caution and drive distraction free.
