LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Gas and Electric is mourning the loss of a "friend and co-worker" who was killed on the job Thursday.

Company spokesperson Liz Pratt said the line technician was working to reconductor a power line in Oldham County when they were killed. 

"This is a tragic loss for our entire LG&E and KU workforce, and our hearts are heavy for his family and all who knew him," Pratt's statement continued. "We are performing a thorough investigation to better understand factors that contributed to this situation and how it occurred."

He has not yet been identified.
