LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An inmate in custody at Louisville Metro Corrections died while at the hospital on Sunday.
According to Maj. Darrell Goodlett, the jail was notified of the death at 12:24 p.m.
Goodlett said 44-year-old Thomas Simpson had been under medical care at the hospital since May 27th. It's believed that he died because of his medical issues.
