LOS ANGELES (WDRB) -- Louisville native Brandy Neelly will perform live Tuesday night on American Idol.
WDRB's Tamara Evans spoke to her family in Hollywood about what's next for the 19-year-old.
Neelly and the 14 other girls in the competition will perform tonight from CBS Television City. This is where American Idol is taped this week, and fans will be lining up this afternoon, waiting to get in.
Her family arrived Monday, and when they aren't with Brandy, they are trying to check out all that Hollywood has to offer, including the famous Hollywood sign, the Dolby Theater, previously known as the Kodak Theater where the Idol finale has been held, and the Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame.
"She actually seems very calm and collected, and she was getting her nails done," said Denise Tracy, Brandy's aunt.
This is Neelly's fourth time on American Idol, and the closest she has been to the Top 13. While her mother is hoping she goes far, she says this is only a stepping stone for Brandy.
"Brandy's always said she wants to be a country music recording artist, and I think she's taking those steps," said Cheryl Neelly, Brandy's mom. "I think we will hear more from her, no matter what happens."
To see the Top 15 girls perform tonight on American Idol, tune in to WDRB at 8 p.m.
