LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A big debate is tonight in Kentucky's U.S. Senate race.

Republican Senator Mitch McConnell and Democratic candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes face off at 8 p.m. in Lexington.

KET will broadcast the debate.

A federal judge denied Libertarian candidate David Patterson's request to force the public broadcaster to include him in the debate.

The judge says KET tightened criteria for the debate to exclude non-serious candidates.
