LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center in west Louisville will soon feature a fast-charging station for electric vehicles.
LG&E and KU will soon install a "DC Fast," or Level 3, electric vehicle charger there. The company chose the location because it hosts nearly 100 concerts, meetings, community and sporting events each year.
It's also located near several major interstates.
Level 3 chargers can fully charge a battery in 15-90 minutes, depending on the vehicle.
The fast charger is expected to be installed within the next several months.
