LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested a nurse at a local health care facility after she withheld patients' drugs for months, keeping them for herself.

According to an arrest report, 26-year-old Brandy Hatter was an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Oaklawn Health & Rehabilitation on Shelby Station Drive, near the intersection of Shelbyville Road and English Station Road.

Police say she was taking prescriptions for herself and her boyfriend -- and officers found her in possession of drugs that she had stolen.

According to the arrest report, she admitted to stealing drugs from the health care facility and failing to give patients their medications "for months."

She was arrested Tuesday afternoon at the facility and charged with theft of controlled substances and neglect of an adult by recklessness.
