LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A samurai sword: police say that was the weapon of choice for one Oldham County teen who attacked a 16-year-old boy early Friday morning.
According to an arrest report, an Oldham County Police officer was contacted by the parent of the victim, who told police that 18-year-old Landon Jones had struck the boy with the sword, "in an attempt to do serious physical injury to him."
When questioned about the incident, police say Jones denied committing the attack, but he did give police permission to search his trunk.
Inside, officers allegedly found two swords -- one of which the victim identified as the sword used in the assault.
Jones was arrested and taken to the Oldham County Jail. He is charged with second degree assault and first degree wanton endangerment. Police say he may have been under the influence of Xanax during the time of the assault.
It is was not immediately clear from the report if the victim suffered any injuries.
