LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --Ā Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis says she has no regrets about refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
Davis was interviewed on Fox News Channel WednesdayĀ nightĀ and defended her decision to deny the marriage licenses.Ā She spent five days in jail for defying a court order that demanded she issue the licenses.
Since then, Rowan County deputy clerks have been doing the job.
"You have millions of Christians who object to this whole same-sex marriage issue," Davis said.Ā "Are their rights invalid? Are there rights not worth anything? I mean, it's a valid point and it's a fight that's worth fighting for."
Davis said that she will not resign from her position because she'll lose her voice in the fight.
