Single-vehicle crash on Cane Run Road leaves car in pieces

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One person was injured in a single-vehicle crash in southwest Jefferson County that left the car in pieces.

LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell says officers responded around noon to the crash in the 8900 block of Cane Run Road. He says the driver of a Honda was northbound on Cane Run when he lost control for unknown reasons and struck a telephone pole.

Mitchell says the male driver was ejected from the vehicle. He taken to University Hospital, but Mitchell says his injuries aren't considered life-threatening.

Officers with LMPD's 3rd Division are handling the investigation.
