LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Authorities have identified the Fort Campbell soldier who died during a helicopter training incident June 11.
The soldier was identified as Chief Warrant Officer 2 Dustin K. Wright, 40, with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell.
Wright was the pilot of the AH-64 Apache helicopter when he died during a training incident at the base.
One other pilot was injured during the incident and sustained minor injuries.
Wright, a decorated soldier, joined the Army in 2010 and has been at Fort Campbell since 2022.
The accident remains under investigation.
