CHARLESTOWN, Ind. (WDRB) --On the Charlestown side of River Ridge, and down in a dark basement, may be one of Southern Indiana's best kept secrets.
It's called B&K Enterprises, a business that has a ton of Elvis Presley's wardrobe.
Not the actual music icon's clothes. B&K makes jumpsuits for Elvis impersonators you've seen all over the world.
Being a Presley fan is in owner, Butch Polston's blood.
"I was a huge Elvis fan. My mom was a huge Elvis fan. My father was a huge Elvis fan," he explained.
He's never done any impersonating himself for two reasons:
"I look nothing like Elvis. There's not enough make up in a dump truck to make me look like Elvis. Secondly, when I sing, birds die," Butch said with a smile.
But, he always wanted something of Presley's.
"I said I'd love to have one of Elvis' jumpsuits," Butch said.
After looking, he and his wife, Kim, thought it might be a lot cheaper to just make their own jumpsuit.
That got some attention. It eventually lead to a meeting with Elvis' real costume designers, Bill Belew and Gene Doucette.
They showed the Polston's how to give their already snazzy looking outfits more "bling bling," like the King.
Now, the story is history. The business is a huge success. Teams of employees work every day-- stitching and bedazzling to meet the demand. Not only for Elvis look-a-likes around the globe, but from Hollywood too.
"If you see an Elvis TV show or movie and it has a really authentic looking Elvis suit, it's ours," Butch said.
The Blockbuster, "3000 Miles to Graceland" was just one of B&K's projects.
A little piece of southern Indiana keeping the King of Rock and Roll's memory alive forever.
