LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Sacred Heart Academy students and Louisville Metro Police worked together to give stuffed bears to children and families.
LMPD officers give teddy bears to children to help ease their fears while on scene of investigations and situations. Students at Sacred Heart Academy donated more than 200 new teddy bears for officers to give to children.
"That teddy bear gives the child a sense of safety and security from all that might be going wrong," LMPD shared on Facebook. "The men and women of LMPD work to make bad situations a little less stressful for children and their families."Â
A sophomore at Sacred Heart led the donation project as part of a leadership class.
