LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Wednesday, TARC released the information it received in the TARC 2025 Draft Plan phase, where it heard input from the community.

The majority of those surveyed were women. Of those responses, 57% were also from white people, and 36% were Black.

A high percentage of those surveyed were working adults, represented across three groups for the majority of the responses from the ages of 35 to 65 and older.

More than 70% of respondents have ridden transit in the last month. That's reported through one to five days a month, five to 15 days a month, and more than 15 days a month.

Only 30% of those surveyed said they had not ridden in the past month.

When asked about the need for an Enhanced Network, respondents said it would help them continue using TARC, benefit people they care about and support the majority of existing TARC riders.

A majority of riders stated they would support additional taxes to fund improvements, and stakeholders supported potential funding measures.

Survey responses also said that TARC's highest priorities should be increasing service frequency and maintaining existing service levels.

In the coming weeks, the TARC Board of Directors will make a recommendation regarding the framework for the Enhanced Network.
