Hamilton

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Tickets for the smash Broadway musical "Hamilton" will be available next week.

Single tickets for performances at the Kentucky Center for the Arts in downtown Louisville will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Feb. 14. Tickets will be available for the production that runs from June 7-19.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.kentuckyperformingarts.org or www.TicketMaster.com.

There's a limit of nine tickets per account, according to a news release. Prices will range from $59 to $199, with a limited number of premium seats available from $249.

A $10 ticket lottery will be held for 40 seats before each performance. Details about the lottery will be announced closer to the shows. A similar lottery was held for performances in 2019.

Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller said it's best to buy tickets from an official source.

"It's tempting to get tickets any way you can," Sellers said in a news release. "There are many sites and people who are selling overpriced, and in some cases, fraudulent tickets. For the best seats, the best prices and to eliminate the risk of counterfeit tickets, all purchases for the Louisville engagement should be made through www.kentuckyperformingarts.org and TicketMaster.com."

The musical tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, one of America's founding fathers. It blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap and R&B, and the show has been a sell-out on Broadway.

People waited in line for hours outside the Kentucky Center box office for the show's 2019 performances.
