LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Zonetown Fire came to the rescue Sunday to help a momma duck and her ducklings.

They posted photos of the rescue on social media. A bunch of ducklings fell into a drainage trench on Blue Lick Road near John Harper Highway.

The fire department was called in to help out and even closed down the road.

One of the firefighters, who's a duck hunter, was lowered into the hole and made some duck sounds to get the babies to come over.

All 10 were collected into a box and hoisted up. The ducklings were then reunited with their momma who was waiting in a field across the street.
