Baxter's 942 in the Highlands has been temporarily closed for about a year and a half after Louisville Metro Alcoholic Beverage Control denied its liquor license renewal request.

They say the gatherings are hurting their bottom lines and putting staff in difficult situations.

Last year, Louisville Metro Government's Alcoholic Beverage Control announced a zero tolerance policy for bars and restaurants playing loud music.
