A petition circulating in Louisville's Highlands neighborhood could change how some bars operate by requiring them to generate most of their revenue from food sales instead of alcohol.

Bar owners and hospitality leaders in Louisville are opposing the city's community input survey, saying it's targeting the Highlands.

Baxter's 942, a popular bar on Baxter Avenue in one of Louisville's busiest nightlife districts, was denied a renewal to sell alcohol this week, the city citing recent shootings area for the decision.
