The owner of a Highlands bar that has sat empty for nearly two years says another Bardstown Road business is now facing the same treatment he believes unfairly cost him his liquor license.

Jerry Mangrum Jr. - known as DJ Lil Jerry - has filed a defamation suit against Metro Alcoholic Beverage Control, claiming its director defamed him by linking him to violence occurring when he performed at Baxter’s 942.

Video of the shooting taken on the back patio of Baxter's 942 shows the fight started between two patrons, but quickly grew into something much bigger.
