Parents who drop off and pick up their children are encouraged to work with their individual schools with ideas to improve traffic flow. 

It's been one year since some students didn't get home until nearly 10 p.m. on the first day of school, canceling class for two days so the district could work out the issues.

In April, the Jefferson County Board of Education voted to cut transportation to all magnet and traditional schools, which impacts more than 14,000 students.
