Chinese authorities say a small plane that crashed into a building in Beijing killed the pilot and injured 13 people. The authorities of the Chaoyang district, a vibrant business area, said the two-seat light sport aircraft carrying only the pilot collided with a high-rise building at 5:55 p.m. on Friday. The short statement on WeChat did not identify the building or the pilot, but global flight tracking service provider Flightradar24 said the plane crashed into the CITIC Tower, also known as China Zun, the tallest building in Beijing. It was unclear whether the injured were in the building or were hit by debris.
