As of Friday, 1,644 Kentuckians were hospitalized with COVID-19, the governor said. 

As of Sunday, 1,677 Kentuckians were hospitalized with COVID-19, Gov. Andy Beshear said.

As of Friday, 1,358 Kentuckians were hospitalized statewide with COVID-19, 307 patients were being treated in intensive care units, according to the governor's office. 

Fifty-three of the new cases reported Wednesday were from Jefferson County. 

Sunday's report brings Kentucky to 19,389 total infections since the pandemic began. 

Forty deaths from novel coronavirus complications have been reported over the past three days.
