Attorney General Russell Coleman filed briefs in support of the "substantial proof" presented at both of the Lawson trials, saying the evidence provided more than enough proof of their involvement in Rogers' death. 

Attorneys for Brooks Houck filed an appeal with the Kentucky Supreme Court, asking that Houck's conviction in the murder of Crystal Rogers be thrown out.

Joseph Lawson, one of three men convicted in the murder of Bardstown mother Crystal Rogers, filed an appeal Monday.
