Kentucky U.S. Congressman Andy Barr won the Republican primary for Sen. Mitch McConnell's long-held U.S. Senate seat Tuesday, defeating former state Attorney General Daniel Cameron and a long list of lesser-known challengers.

The 145th Fancy Farm picnic is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 2 at St. Jerome Catholic Church in southwestern Kentucky.
