Supporters say it would protect a Kentucky resident fleeing a domestic violence, stalking or human trafficking situation so they can feel safe at home.

At a hearing in Frankfort on Wednesday, state Attorney General Daniel Cameron told legislators Kentucky ranks 9th in the country for federal human trafficking cases.
