JCPS students will have an extra day of school this year for all that time off for the winter storm that came through last month.
Transportation may be restored for some Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) students before the end of the year, but some families it's too late.
Many remain skeptical of the intentions behind the task force, and made a point to address it during public comment.
The district said nothing is official until the board approves a plan.
Two other people have filed to run for the District 2 seat.
The letter is addressed as, "an open letter to JCPS school and district leaders."
Changes are coming to JCPS bus transportation, so some students may have to go to their neighborhood schools. This could add cars to the drop-off and pick-up lines.
Stovall is applauding Wednesday's decision after years of butting heads with school officials.
Chaunda Lee said it happened Sept. 18 at 32nd and Kentucky streets in the early evening.
The JCPS school board asked Superintendent Dr. Marty Pollio to put together a proposal for future consideration.
