The requirement will remain in place for congregate care facilities.

The program started in 2017 as a way to reduce veteran homelessness.

Lt. Colonel Keith Jackson, who is with the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs, was presented the $4,000 check from the AMVETS Post 61. 

Henry says she has already submitted a letter of intent, expects to officially file for the race on Friday.

It's all part of Wreaths Across America, an annual tradition nationwide, that happened Saturday in Louisville.
