The owners of two homes near Prospect were told to evacuate Sunday after first responders found the land was falling into Harrods Creek.

The persistent rain that hit the area earlier this month wasn't typical, but flooding along the Ohio River is no anomaly.

Widespread heavy rain caused flooding across Kentucky and southern Indiana. 

A 66-year-old man died in Carroll County, marking the seventh death related to the historic flooding in Kentucky.

Gov. Andy Beshear said there have been around 1,000 rescues due to flooding since storms hit Kentucky.
