Mosquitoes carrying the West Nile virus were found in nine more Louisville neighborhoods.

The city also fogs an area if a resident there tests positive for West Nile Virus.

There have been no West Nile-related deaths in Louisville since 2023.

Louisville Metro Public Health and Wellness Department will conduct fogging near the Highlands this week after mosquitos with West Nile Virus were found in the area.

Louisville health officials found mosquitoes infected with the West Nile virus in the Tyler Park neighborhood and areas surrounding it near the Highlands.

Mosquitoes carrying the West Nile virus have now been found in six Louisville zip codes this year.

The West Nile virus was detected in mosquitoes in three Louisville neighborhoods, the city's health department said Monday.
