Two Louisville nursing homes will permanently shut down after state surveys found "substantial noncompliance with Medicare rules and regulations," including rodents, resident neglect and failure to report allegations of abuse.

The jury handed its verdict down Thursday to Lawrence Williamson in Jefferson Circuit Court.

Lawrence Williamson is accused of shooting 42-year-old Michael Bennett several times on a bus on Dec. 23.

Police say Michael Bennett would break into homes while loved ones were away grieving.
