Over the past five years, how much the mayor of New Albany spent on lawsuits and construction of the Providence Mill Dam was an unanswered question.

The Indiana DNR sued to get the city to remove rock poured at the dam as "emergency maintenance," and said it has since been stonewalled by the city.
