José Ramírez homered twice, Brayan Rocchio had three hits and three RBIs, and the Cleveland Guardians beat the Orioles 8-4 to take three of four from Baltimore. Ramírez went deep in the fourth and fifth innings off Trevor Rogers, increasing his franchise record for multi-homer games to 28. He also moved past Earl Averill into second place in Cleveland history with 138 home runs at home. Juan Brito hit a two-run double and Rocchio had an RBI single in the fourth as the Guardians scored four times to make it 5-0. Taylor Ward hit his first homer as an Oriole, a three-run shot in the fifth.
Gavin Williams struck out 11 over seven innings to push his majors-leading total 40, Brayan Rocchio hit a three-run homer and the Cleveland Guardians beat the Baltimore Orioles 4-2 on Saturday. Williams (3-1) allowed a run on three hits and walked one in a dominant outing. He had his sixth career double-digit strikeout game and second of the season. Cade Smith struck out the side in the ninth for his fifth save. José Ramírez stole his 10th base in the first inning, becoming the first player to reach double digits this year. Orioles starter Dean Kremer (0-1) allowed two hits and three runs in six innings.
Jeremiah Jackson’s three-run homer capped Baltimore’s six-run outburst in the eighth inning against Cleveland’s bullpen, sending the Orioles to a 6-4 win over the Guardians. The Orioles’ late rally came after Daniel Schneemann’s grand slam had given Cleveland a 4-0 lead in the seventh. But the Guardians relievers couldn't protect it and the Orioles ended a three-game skid. Johnathan Rodríguez hit a sacrifice fly and pinch-hitter Weston Wilson roped a two-run double before Jackson's homer. His fielding error at second base in the seventh had helped set up Cleveland’ four-run inning.
