The virus has been a contributing factor in the deaths of at least 6,476 Kentuckians. 

The CDC on Friday released guidance saying  people "can travel at low risk to themselves" once they are fully vaccinated — two weeks after receiving their last recommended dose. 

"I don't remember the last time that the number of new positive cases for residents was so low," Gov. Andy Beshear said. 

Last week, Indiana was fifth from the bottom for doses delivered per 100,000 residents. As of Tuesday, the state was ranked 35th.

More than 12,200 Hoosiers have died from the virus.
