Despite repeated requests from WDRB News, the mayor’s office has not released any information on legal fees, construction, or repairs related to the project.

The city said Tuesday its work is complete after crews finished removing tons of rock from the dam.

In December, the city reached a settlement with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources in two lawsuits filed over the dam and "emergency maintenance" ordered by Mayor Jeff Gahan in August 2024.
