Michael Conforto went 3 for 3 with a homer and two RBIs, Shota Imanaga pitched six innings of one-run ball and the Chicago Cubs extended their winning streak to nine games with an 8-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds. The Cubs completed a four-game sweep of the Reds and won their 15th straight game at Wrigley Field for their longest home winning streak since 1935. The Cubs (26-12) seized control by scoring seven runs in the fourth inning. Reds starter Rhett Lowder left the game in the inning with what the team said was right shoulder tightness. The Reds (20-18) lost their seventh straight.

Michael Busch drove in the winning run with a bases-loaded walk in the 10th inning after Pete Crow-Armstrong connected for a two-run homer in the ninth, and the Chicago Cubs beat the Cincinnati Reds 7-6 for their eighth consecutive victory. It was the third consecutive walk-off win for the Cubs. Busch hit an RBI single in the 10th inning of Tuesday night’s 3-2 victory over the Reds. Seiya Suzuki was intentionally walked by Brock Burke before Busch was nearly hit by a sinker on a 3-1 pitch. Ian Happ also homered as NL Central-leading Chicago won for the 18th time in 21 games overall.

Michael Busch singled in the winning run in the 10th inning after hitting a tying home run in the eighth and the Chicago Cubs won their seventh straight by rallying again to beat the Cincinnati Reds 3-2. Busch won it when his grounder leading off the 10th against Sam Moll handcuffed shortstop Elly De La Cruz and Dansby Swanson scored from second, giving the Cubs their 17th win in 20 games. Reds closer Emilio Pagán came in to start the ninth and fell to the ground clutching his left hamstring after one pitch.
