Hardin County Schools is just one of many school districts around the state getting ready to implement Senate Bill 101, which requires a one-year expulsion for students who intentionally assault school employees.
KSP hasn't said which specific schools were targeted by the calls.
The district said a teacher learned about the "kill list" in class and immediately confiscated it.
The incident ended near Central Hardin High School and forced the school on a "soft lockdown" for about 45 minutes on Thursday afternoon.
