Shannyn White filed a federal lawsuit after being shot by Louisville police during protests downtown on May 29, 2020. 

The city agreed to pay $1.5 million in March, according to court records, with $650,000 – the settlement after attorney fees - of that paid out to people overcharged from 2008 to 2021.
