Homeless advocates in Louisville are working to help people stay warm and dry as cold weather moves across the country.

The camp is on the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet property.

Experts say mental health professionals or social workers could have more luck at some calls. 

The study was completed with the purpose of guiding Louisville Metro Government leaders on best practices when it comes to dealing with the city's homeless population.
