Dramatic video of Sydney Thomas' rescue on March 1 has been seen across the world.

Sysco CEO Kevin Hourican donated over 1,500 pounds of food and $20,000 to the department to honor the heroic efforts of the first responders. Sysco also gave each member of the fire department gift cards.

It happened early Friday afternoon after a crash on the Second Street Bridge between a semi, a pickup truck and two passenger vehicles. 

Bryce Carden said the extensive training he has received from the Louisville Fire Department helped him maintain his calm.

Wednesday marked the third day for more than 100 Sysco truck drivers in Louisville on strike in a dispute with the company.

They're responsible for getting food to hundreds of area restaurants, public schools and hospitals.
