The temporary district assignments were made after board members in overlapping districts drew lots during Tuesday night’s meeting.

The Jefferson County Board of Education has appointed a new member to the District 2 seat formerly held by Chris Kolb.

Two other people have filed to run for the District 2 seat.

Eight different people have filed to run for Jefferson County Public Schools' Board of Education, vying for four seats up for election this November.
